Hello! If you are reading this message, then you have a BLIZZARD BAG DAY! That means you have the opportunity to learn at home when our weather conditions call for a “Snow Day” or any school closure. The assignments are aligned to our curriculum and state standards. Please remember that the day is a school day AT YOUR HOME, a friend’s house, daycare, wherever you are spending the day.
Blizzard Bag #1, #2, & #3 Directions: The blizzard bag lessons allow you to experience independent, hands-on, experiential learning. Please click hereto go to Scholastic's SuperScience magazine. Click "Sign In" then click on "Students". The classroom password is Goleps6.
*You will do this for every blizzard bag, just pick a different article.
1. Log into SuperScience. Then select this month's issue.
2. Pick an article at least 2 pages long to read.
3. Look for the small green button that says "Watch a Video" and then the reddish-orange button that says "Bonus Skill Sheets". Please print and complete the skill sheet. If you do not have access to print it, on a sheet of paper write the title of the skill sheet and page numbers of the article. Then number and answer the questions. (NOTE: You do not need to rewrite the questions; only write the answers!)
Due Dates: These assignments are each due 2 weeks from the snow day. If you do not have internet access, you will be given a hard-copy of this information when we return to school and it is due 2 weeks from that date.
Confused: If you have any questions about your schoolwork to complete, you can email your teacher.
